What Are The Benefits Of A Hotel Business Buying Homemade Body Products Vs Commercial Body Products?

I own a little bed and breakfast and a friend has offered to supply me with homemade body products, such as body/hand soaps, and lotions. Yes the price is cheaper. How will her homemade products benefit my business and my patrons?

I have NO inkling why the contributors are so off the mark. If the supplier of the homemade goods if a friend, I would imagine she wouldn't care for labelling her products w/an ingredient list if you asked, to assure no one is allergic. I am sure she would be told you have to minimize your liabilities.

If the packaging is attractive, homemade stuff could definitelty add to the delight of your place, especially if you sell it in your gift shop, and you have exclusive scents people can't get at bath & body works. So... yes, cheaper, and possibly you & your friend can put your own personal flair in. :-)

I'm launching a new goods a luxury line of beauty products like lotions, shampoos and body scrubs and I'm getting around to pricing them. They will be of extreme quality but I would like to price them at moderate prices like under $50. What is the most and least you would splash out for your body?

It would depend on the proper content of the product...I don't mind paying for something wonderful...without all the chemicals and preservatives.

A pen-pal of mine and I are thinking of starting a line of bath and body products for kids and babies. After hearing that carbonation baths aren't good for kids and having trouble locating toddler products that appeal to us, we thought we might start our own independent brand. My question is are we the only ones experiencing this question?

Nope. Burt's Bees and California Babe in arms are easy to come by where we live. Still, if you wanted to start a line, make the products integral, hypoallergenic, and for the love of all that is holy, TEAR - FREE! I'm sorry, but the one time I second-hand Johnson & Johnson (got it as a gift) on my son and he got some in his eyes, he screamed bloody murder. The booze said tear - free, but I was skeptical. After a little research of my own, I learned (the disquieting way) that J & J lied.
