I have a surgical cicatrix on the back of my neck and I have been thinking for the longest time to get it covered with a tattoo. Is this safe? The scar is pulchritudinous smooth although towards the bottoms it kinda rises. I would like to get your thoughts.
I have a mark on my stomach that was tattooed over. It turned out perfect and you can't tell there was a scar there. I haven't heard of any risks of tattooing over a cicatrix. Go to a tattoo artist and show it and see if they think it's flat enough for the design to not be warped by the scar. If part is smooth and part rises, you could tattoo over the even part only and it would still avert attention away from the section that rises. The scar on my stomach is about an inch extensive and goes from my bellybutton all the way down. It is a pretty major scar, I was cut open for exploratory surgery. No problems at all, and like I said the tattoo truly hides the scar. Nobody even knows now that I have a scar there. Before people asked me all the time when I had my take exposed where I got the scar from. Now people just comment on how much they like my tattoo:)
Was solely wondering if it'll make the scars worse, or if the tattoo would look bad because of them- also suggestions of scar treatments would be reassuring because I really want a tattoo in this particular place :).

Yes its charge to tattoo over them. They disguise the scars in actual fact, i know someone who had major scars over her tummy area, had a tattoo that covered most of them and you can scarcely notice...Id think carefully about the design and colours though.
Also if you really want to minimise the look of your scars, you can buy 'Rebuild Pomatum' which i hear is really effective and its only around £17
I suffered from harrowing acne as a teen on my shoulders. Now I want to get a heart with "mom" in it on my virtue shoulder, but I'm afraid it won't look right because of the acne scars. What do you think?

I don't care about what you over of my tattoo idea. That wasn't what I asked about. I love my mom dearly and I love tattoos. So there. (:
It depends on the ferocity of the scars. Talk to the artist who would be doing the tattoo. They would be able to give you an answer.
If you can't tattoo over the scars, perhaps you should think of different position.

I acclimated to to have an emotional problem when i was younger and i have scars from self inflicted wounds. They are really shaming and i would like to know if it was safe to get a tattoo to cover them?
Why don't you well-founded try removing those scars, rather then covering them up? A tattoo will only serve as a further reminder of your past troubles, whereas removing the true to life scars might contribute to helping you move on emotionally as well as physically.
You'd be surprised what can be achieved in terms of cut fading, using simple things like lemon juice and aloe vera, along with an arrogate diet and specific scar massage techniques. Check my blog for details:

I would fianc to do something like that, but I manipulate as if I’ve tired too much of my soul covering up my scars because I was red-faced of them. I don’t see how a tattoo would be any unlike than the extended sleeves I tempered to to enervate, except for eternal. I’ve been playing with the concept of tattooing over them because I dislike having the scars and having the dependable questions about them, but I can’t get dead and buried that scheme in my plans. I’d sweetheart to attend to other takes on it.
