Answer: Surgery is impressive but invasive (and expensive). There are methods ranging from scar revision to scar excision to lessen the appaearance of mass damage.

The problem with excision is that when you cut out a scar, you are effectively creating another scar.

Unless this new scar is better than the old scar, the whole side of scar removal is lost.

Answer: There's a method called Silicone Sheeting that uses weird silicone sheets to 'fade out' the scar.

Cost Of Surgical Scar Removal?

I have a scar about 2 inches extensive on my leg from when I was little. It makes me self conscious and I would to have it removed. It is fairly wide and unconcealed. Has anyone here had a scar surgically removed to at least produce a much smaller scar that can be treated to heal better? How much would this develop from cost, and is it covered by insurance?

Answer: Why not try Mederma? It's a scar removal cream. Cheaper. No surgery. No heyday wasted recovering. Im just sayin'.

Non Surgical Scar Removal?

I finish feeling very insecure about my body now after having cut myself for a very long time. I have a little over fifty old scars on my arms, legs, and trunk. Some are shallow scars, some are deeper gashes that scarred over and are raised above my skin frank, and others are shiny like burn marks from cutting chunks of skin off my arms with scissors. At the everything of cutting, even though it hurt, it made me feel better. I'm trying my very best to stop but as a start I yearn for to fade and hopefully remove the previously existing scars. I've been rubbing cocoa butter into my fleece endlessly but I don't think that's working very well. I'm interested in natural remedies but I'm open for anything

Answer: You can get creams from the chemist to knacker scars. Im not exactly sure how much it costs, but if it will make you feel better about urself and stuff up the cutting Im sure its worth the price. Just go in there and ask about it, Im pretty sure they dont requisite to know what the scars are actually from...
