If you have an internal surgery, that removed damaged internal organs, is it viable for scar tissue to bind other organs together? How does this work?
Answer: yes, it is not only practicable, it is likely. That internal scar tissue is called adhesions, and it is an automatic response of the body irksome to heal itself internally. Adhesions can bind and restrict and cause all sorts of difficulties, but most doctors spur you to live with them, because going in to remove them simply causes more to develop and you end up worsening the facer in the long run.

I had surgery about 7 weeks ago for endometriosis and PCOS (surgery #2 absolutely). I'm not going into details about the surgery because if you know anything about PCOS or endometriosis, you should already know the details - it'll proper keep this question from getting too wordy.
Anyway, since the surgery I've had severe pain, along with diarrhea and really bad gas every pick day. Does scar tissue cause these kinds of symptoms?
The pain is just as bad as it was before the surgery & I had cysts that were all but an inch in size on my ovary - you know those little buggers hurt like keen.
Anyway, I know I need to see a doctor - so please don't reply with an answer that
Answer: Possibly it is a bowl obstruction? It is not something that should wait so I would go to the doc asap because it can be potentially seriously.
I have had a number of surgeries for endo and scar tissue (4 current on 5). Each time at about 2-4 weeks post surgery I tend to get a partial impeding. What happens I think is the scarring begins a few weeks after surgery. As it forms it pulls on your internal organs. It is laborious and you have gas, diarrhea and sometimes vomiting.

I had a car mischance 30+ years ago leaving me with a severe whip lash injury. Having now had 4 outstanding operations I suffer chronic nerve pain. I take 15+ tablets a day to support cope with the pain including dihydrocodiene, gabapentin neurontin, celebrex. I would be appreciative for anyone who has had or knows of someone with similar conditions. Please advice on how you/they are coping with the pain and problems. Variant remedies/solutions considered.
Answer: I have a cervical spiculum injury from a car accident and I have had 2 operations for it. It sounds like you are taking about the same meds I am except I fantasize I may take a few more pain meds daily. I take hydrocodone, oxycodone, morphine sulphate, Soma, Neurontin, Elavil continuously. The newest change in my meds was to take 2 a day 20mg. oxycodone XR. It has really helped with being able to prevention asleep for more that an hour or two at a time like I had been doing for about the last 5 years.

had a gastric ignore 3 years ago. had peterson hernia and full bowel obstruction last year. currectly affliction from partial bowel obstruction due to scar tissue from by gastric bypass. don't want another emergency surgery. any ideas to disolve the scar tissue from within without surgery.
Answer: stool softeners, enem;s... but reallyt you should go in.. ther is no way of preventing these either. i was merely release from the hospital and all of them told me it is just something i going going to have to deal with call of all the scar tissue i have in my pelvis area... get treated tho... these can be serious and extremely painful

I injured my knee August 2009 while playing soccer. I am 54 years old but was very effectual and fit. I had ACL surgery using an autologous hamstring bribery with the Biomet system about 12 weeks ago. Also had a lateral and medial finding enjoyment in meniscectomy and chondroplasty of the patella. I have been doing PT 3X a week. My mind-boggler is that ever since I stopped using the surgical reinforcement I have felt a unshakeable ensemble of tightness below my kneecap that wraps around to the sides. I don't crave it at shut-eye, only with decline. When I patrol it feels like an stretchable federate is pulling back on my knee and I the feeling it more acutely prosperous up and down stairs. I have great knee flexion (137 degrees) but have a difficult achieving keyboard knee sweep on my own. I have discussed this with both my OS and PT. Up until my last call in at the end of Oct., my surgeon said it's conventional to have sensations like this after ACL surgery. When I asked for a more definite justification at my last inflict he said I have some scar tissue which mostly resolves in 90% of patients by 4-5 months although he is not doubtless this is the generate of this furor. I admit I have scar tissue--I have a excrescence on the medial side of my hamstring cut. My PT seems to believe the foreboding is interconnected to patellar tendonitis which I've had for a while put-surgery. She has been doing knee mobilization techniques and I also try doing these at accommodations. The enchanting viewpoint is that I discovered accidently that if I clothing a knee strap above my knee it reduces the warmth of tightness significantly. When I mentioned this to my OS he said it to all intents helps with proprioception. My PT believes it helps the tendonitus and would submit that I abrade the strap below my knee. However, having tried that I find the most substitute comes from wearing it above my knee. I'm opinion about getting a in the second place theory or requesting a MRI.
