In my football, I've been introduced to silicone gloves, sleeves, and other garments that are supposed to aid in healing for burn victims and adjust the appearance of scarring. I assume it is the supple nature of silicone having some kind of reflex effect on the skin, but nobody has explained why or how this happens.

i have a 7 day old scar on my forehead from a car mischance. I had 14 stiches and had them removed. now it is ugly. do the silicone sheets they say use work--has anyone know any results of silicon sheets?
