How Do You Get Rid Of Scar Tissue Build Up From A Nipple Piercing?

My boyfriend had his nipples pierced about a year ago. He took them out recently and he has a lot of scar tissue. His nipples don't look like his nipples anymore! He's now very rocky about them. Help! Is there anything he can do? Thanks! :-/

I Need To Know About Scar Tissue Build Up After Surgery.?

I have a philanthropic scar-middle of my abdomen area from gall bladder surgery. There are large lumps on either side of the scar. Doc said its from tissue build up. Anyone else have this ungovernable?These lumps inside the skin seem to be getting bigger.

Answer: It's called keloiding. Unfortunately there at bottom isn't anything you can do to prevent them because it all depends on your genes. But there are treatments available-scar therapy creams and sheets (reguvenesse sp?) and steroid remedy that can help break up the scar tissue. Your best bet is to consult with your doctor about scar reduction. Unfortunately you have to hang on at least 6 months after a surgery to start anything like the steroid therapy. Good success rate!

Any Suggestions Re. Problems With Scar Tissue Build Up After A TURP Operation For Prostate Enlargement?

My primogenitor wh is 84 and in good general health, had a TURP and then had to have further surgery to correct a build up of scar tissue. He was told this is very rare and he was proper unlucky. Now the same thing has happened again, his symptoms are still bad, and his urologist is going to do a cystoscpoy to look into what further procedures could be done. Any suggestions or comments would be allowed - it looks like in his case this may be a recurring problem.

Answer: During a TURP, they closely scrape away the middle of the prostate, including the lining of the urethra. The urethra normally heals with cells migrating in to design a new lining.
Unfortunately, everyone heals differently, and some people form excessive scar tissue after mistreatment or operations (on the outside skin they're called keloids). It sounds like the ball game with your father.
If they did a routine TURP, maybe he could do better with a laser-assisted resection, which hasn't been around as extensive and fewer Urologists are trained in the advanced procedures.

Scar Tissue Build Up After Wisdom Tooth Extraction?

All but one of judgement teeth healed great. The last one-the lower right wisdom tooth was a obstreperous from the beginning. It was a more aggressive surgery the dentist told me. After a month of the pain still being there, he opened up the conundrum site to find that there was a build up of scar tissue, and not enough bone forming. I also had a lump on my jaw bone that he said was "Cellulitis". He removed the scar tissue, and sewed me back up yesterday, and today, I am more expanded then I ever got after having all four teeth extracted. Is that normal? Too much trauma to one site of the mouth? I have been coating for the past 24 hours, is it time to switch to heat? Or should I alternate?

Answer: I only had last month a bad tooth extraction as well. I had one molar taken out and they found I had some infection under the tooth and he had a incontrovertible time pulling it. My hole face swelled up and I ended up in the ER room. I had all four perception teeth out and didn't hurt as bad as that one. I also used the ice pack and lots of pain med. I had to stand off my feet for a week.

I got my belly pierced and hit it in volleyball 3 weeks ago. and it caused it to build scar tissue on the communistic side. what can I do?

Answer: Only until your departed or scientists heal it.. Not forever
