I had a boob reduction surgery December 8th, 2009.
While the scarring isn't horrible, I am not super thrilled with the way that they look.
Is it practicable to get laser scar removal surgery done on my breasts to get rid of the scars?
I just want to know if they do that.
Thanks!
Answer: they do have options to get rid of scarring, but the scar conglomeration could be really deep. i'd talk with a doctor first to discuss your options. good good fortune!

Answer: I had a horrendous scar from thyroid surgery. My surgeon did a revision and sent the scar for testing. It showed that I form hypertrophic scar network after deep cuts. The scar came back within a few months of the revision. It has now been almost 12 years since my revision and the scar has started to soften and perish. I would consult a plastic surgeon to determine the type of scar you have before even thinking of surgery.
How Long Does A Scar Take To Heal After Scar Revision Surgery?
Question by nutri24 | Posted in Skin Conditions
Answer: Depends what you cruel by heal.
Epithelial cells will migrate over the surface in a day or two but the collagen bridging the scar is very very shallow.
After about 7-10 days there will be collagen fibres bridging the scar, the scar will not be very strong which is why there may be sutures under the skin strengthening the scar (these most often dissolve after a while).
Over the next few months the collagen fibres will reorganise to become stronger, the colour will jade and the skin contour will settle down.
So functionally the scar will be healed in about 10 days, the flay will go on slowly altering over the next few months. Looking at some of my operation scars they
I have a facial scar, which is shed weight sunken & discolored.
It makes my face look disfigured.
Answer: In theory it should be plausible.
Things to consider are:
1) surgery will itself result in a scar - will that be any better then the one you have?
2) it might not be possible to actually do the revision possibly because of its turning up etc
3) it might take some time to get a date for the op.
First thing to do is have a chat with your GP and take it from there.
