Does Mederma [scar Management Ointment] Really Work?
Question by kaitlincc | Posted in Other - Skin & Body
I have three scars that I've been frustrating to get rid of with Mederma. One is about four years old, and maybe half an inch long, 1/4 of an inch off the target. Another scar I have is on my foot; it is 1/4 of an inch in diameter. My "newest" scar is on my arm. It's somewhere between three weeks and a month old. It is not very extreme at all, but is an inch long.
Okay, well, I hope that's enough information about my scars for a helpful explanation. I'm quite accident prone, as you might have guessed. =)
Mederma: I've been using this product for 3 1/2 months on all three scars. Did Mederma line on your scars, and if so how long did you use it? Any information
Answer: I've been using Mederma too but categorically all it does is make the scar look lighter and less noticeable. But...I think that the best constituent to do is go to a pharmacy and get some green tea ointment because that is said to work better than anything else at healing scars.

What Are Good Scar Removal Products(that Really Work)?
Question by jerseygirl | Posted in First Aid
i have tons of scars on my legs from when i was a rarely kid. now im starting to notice them more especially when i wear bathing suits. what are some good, low-cost scar removal/management products i can use to minimize the appearance of my scars?
Answer: There's a all right number of scar reducers: mederma, bio-oil, prefer-on, vitamin E capsules. The only thing that removes scars is laser scar bumping off (very expensive). All the products I listed help to fade scars. Depending on if you have raised, unchanging, or indented scars, the effect will vary. Scar reducers will fade the redness from all 3 types, and some will cure to flatten out raised scars, but none of them can raise indented scars.
There's also a theory that the offering doesn't matter, it's the act of massaging the scar tissue that creates results, so massaging the scars with moisturizer should theoretically trade as well as using the more pricey bio-oil.
I Had Open Heart Surgery And Now I Have A Scar Under My Right Breast That Hurts Alot, Pain Management?
Question by cocopebbles33 | Posted in Pain & Pain Management
the scar itself hurts alot, I identify its probably tight and everything but it will be a year in August, and I just dont understand how it could still cripple this much after all that time. My cardiologist and my cardiothorasic surgeon are both not worried about it and chalk it up to the healing modify. I still cant wear a bra for more than a few minutes without it feeling painful and I dont know what to do about it anymore. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: Go to the Pharmaceutics area at any local Supermarket and ask the pharmacist where the "Utterly Smooth" cream is. It does not have a pain reliever in it, but this stuff is a miracle worker. It will not only minimize the scar to the idea that you can barly see it, but I believe it will moisten that area and take at least some if not most of the pain away. I'd tally witht he Doc that it's a healing process, that's a tender area. But I honestly think the "Unequivocally Smooth" will help. It's in a small round container that has black spots on it (Like a cow)...it's Cow Utter cream but for humans. It's the upper-class stuff on the shelf today!!

I have a few limited acne scars on my face and want to fade them quickly but can't afford a dermatologist call for it!
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE ONLY PLEASE! THANK YOU
How long did it take for you to see results? Or if you've tried more than one, which one worked with greatest satisfaction?
1. Prefer-on Intensive Scar Management
2. Bio-Oil
3. Mederma
4. A skin lightening solution (and if so, which one?)
** And these are old, 'healed' scars (about a month old) **
Answer: 2. Bio Oil didn't exertion for me. I used it for like a month. Good thing about it though is it doesn't break you out.
4. Veneer lightening usually equals bleaching and that's never good, unless you protect your veneer with sunscreen. You have to use it consistently or else it'll come back.
3. I never tried mederma but I tried scarzone, which is way cheaper. It didn't profession.
out of those two I would choose bio oil. A lot of other people have seen good results. It worked really well on some big bites I had forthcoming my knee.
