Can Scar Gel Get Rid Of A 15 Year Old Scar?

My mom picked up some scar gel for my acne scars on my back, patently she noticed the scars and wants me to get rid of them. Well I have a 15 year old scar on my right hand from when boiling soften got poured on my hand on accident. I've always hated the scar because its ugly. Could the scar gel get rid of this 15 year old scar?

Answer: I got some of that nonsense a few months ago because I have a nasty scar from a road burn during a car accident years ago. It really scarred up my wrist and arm. I toughened the gel for three months straight and there was zero result. I saw a dr who said that gel is really only for new scars, not the old ones that are set into order. Sorry.

Why Does Mederma Flake Off My Face After I Apply The Scar Gel?

Why does Mederma scar gel dry up and tuft off of my face after i apply it? Is this part of the healing process?

Answer: If you are using this as directed it can either be your coat is not tolerant of the ingredients in this OR you could be having this exfoliate (loosen skin cells to discharge the old dead ones and renew skin) to form the new cells to help cure up the scar . If they have a website I'd go there and check this to see if that is typical. Maybe they have some faq's section that can help to find out if this is common.

Where Could I Find Silicone/gel Scar Sheets For Scar Reduction?

When I was younger I acclimatized to cut myself. (yea, i know how stupid) Now that I am pregnant I want to find something to reduce the scars. Some of my scars are natural and some are raised which I think is called keliods. I heard that silicone/gel scar sheets line best for raised scars. I just wanted to know if anyone knows at what hoard I could find them at or if anyone knew of anything else that could help me reduce the scars.

Answer: You can find the scar sheets at WalMart. I mark its the same isle as band aids. You could also apply cocoa butter to your scars. Your scars may not go away unreservedly, but time will make them fade

Neutral making sure. It's not like I'll be eating it. And is it very effective? (I have plain old CVS brand scar gel)

Answer: I don't see any badness. If it is to take scars out, it should be okay :)
