Answer: Keloids don't have a r in scar formation per se. But Keloids develop due to an injury continuously producing scar tissue, pass the perimeter of the initial injury.

I have a splodge on my chest that looks like an old scar. I noticed it about a month ago when it was itching. The problem is that I have never had an wound there. It's slightly raised, about 1/4 inch long and is white in color. I saw a a physicians underling a ally with and she said to just watch it, but doesn't want to do anything about it yet. Over the month, there has been no changes in it - it merely showed up. I'm 48 years old. I would like to know what your thoughts are on this. Thanks.
Answer: Quite eczema. It seems to come with age and is more irritating than anything else. Use some OTC cortisone cream on it at least once a day and more if it itches. I actually have scarring on my lower leg from eczema and tiring to ignore it for to long. I scratched it at night and caused the scarring. I use prescription Visteril now to keep from scratching at my dry crust while sleeping.

i'll brief conversation this better. i had two small injuries on my arm. one spot is healing just fine....while the other seems to be winning longer...and feels a bit raised....
im wondering why this is happening...since the injuries are identical....and is there anything i can do for the raised one...to constant it out?? or will it work itself out on its own?? should i leave it alone??

My sister was bit by a dog in three places on her expression. It looks horrible. Her DR. said it will scar bad so I am just wondering if there is anything to make them less visible.
Answer: I approve rubbing PURE vitamin E oil on the affected areas. When it dries, follow up with a bit of Lavendar Oil. Alternate these every few hours for the first few days, and then after a few days, mix them together, and rub the mingling on 2 or 3 times daily.
