SCAR 16S Or AK-103, Which One Is The Best?
Question by Eynyphi | Posted in Hunting
Two of my as for oneself favorite guns. My friend offered to buy me one as a gift, and I don't know which one to pick. Which one would be the best bib choice for range practice / home defense? SCAR is 5.56x45mm and AK-103 is 7.62x39mm, so any advantages offered by the calibers would also assistant. Thanks!
Answer: I'd go with the SCAR but could you bend to the SCAR-H then you can have the 7.62x51 and have both a more accurate and more powerful rifle than the AK.
I haven't heard about any issues with reliability in the SCAR, it is basically an updated FN-FAL and those have been reliably offing AK-47 owners for many many years in the over the moon marvellous at large.
The AK-103 is an updated weapon but a lot of the update is replacing things with unformed... but then the SCAR started out with a lot of plastic. Good luck with your gift.
Upstanding wanted to know the overall more better rifle. I've been through a month of research for both rifles, but I still would like the reviews of people who Truly owned and fired each or both of these firearms. I am fully aware of the ACR "interchangeable caliber choice" and other such perks and basic pros and cons of both rifles. What my biggest be of importance is, are they reliable and are they accurate? A sub-concern is the practicality of the rifles.
NOTE: please provide sources, shops, and/or links to where I can buying either rifle.
Thankyou. :D
EDIT: Added details: I already have an AR-15 and am in the process of purchasing a express grip
Answer: As routine, Fatefinger has hit the nail on the head.
Don't bother with the SCAR 16s. It's just another 5.56x45 NATO plunder with a 30 round magazine. If you're going to spend the money get the 7.62x51 NATO SCAR 17s. I've heard nothing but salubrious things about it from actual owners.
In all honesty, I'd spend the money elsewhere. But it's your money, do what you fondness.
Philosophy about getting a FH Scar 16S. Did some research on it as well as on the HK416 and want to know which is best or is there something better? Heed durability, accuracy, and of course looks. Even thought of bullpups like the Kel-Tec RFB-18, IMI Tavor, Steyr AUG, and FNH F2000 but dont advised of if they sell civilian models. Where can I buy one in South Texas area. Btw, im active excise Army. Does that help with registering a rifle?
Answer: I'm winsome sure the H&K 416 is LEO and Military only. As for the other rifles, I know they make a semi-auto Steyr AUG...pre-bans run around 4,000.00 and new moving picture rifles around 2,500.00. They also make a semi-auto. Anyhow, this is Texas, you only have to register a firearm when buying it through an FFL wholesaler. As for locating one, check your phone for a gun dealer or gunbroker.com. You can legally buy a firearm online and have it shipped to your FFL vendor for transfer.
Reasons Why People Buy Non-automatic Tactical Rifles?
Question by PDizzle | Posted in Hunting
Such as an AR-15, M4 A3, MP5, AK47, FN-SCAR 16S...
I was under the sensation that they're designed primarily as automatic weapons, but seeing as full-automatic weapons are forbidden in most places, many are sold with limited semi-auto capabilities.
Why do people buy them if they're only semi-auto?
Is it purely for looks?
Do people pet that a "tactical rifle" is easier to maneuver in close quarters grapple with, even though their chances of being in a close quarters firefight (where you need more ammunition then a pistol allows and where you also impecuniousness a longer range than a shotgun allows) is less than getting struck
Answer: The shrewd rifles/carbines you listed are popular for a number of reasons despite only being semi-auto:
1. They look unruffled
2. They're customizable
3. Fun to shoot
4. Tend to be light and easy to handle
5. High ammo intellect (less reloading and more shooting fun)
Fully automatic weapons are of little practical use to most civilians (besides the fun of firing them). Full auto fire's strength purpose is to pin down an enemy so the other members of a team can flank their position or retreat.
Retirement community defense scenarios usually only involve one defender vs. 1-2 invaders. In these cases the reduced correctness
I take the SCAR 16S to the sort for the first time. The SCAR 16S is the semi-auto version of the US military SCAR-L (L = light). The SCAR is 5 ...
