Righteous curious. I had surgery back on June 8th and the scar is still red. I'm not worried, just curious how long it takes for the red to go thoroughly away.
Answer: 14 years
at best kidding - your body is still repairing itself from the trauma of surgery.

Answer: Nah. It will all things considered be a little tender for a while. Remember, there's layers and layers of tissue and nerves in the portion. Even though they've healed, the area is still "new" and much weaker still. It will take a while until that area has strengthened. As protracted as you aren't in serious pain, they you should be fine.

If left untreated, they may or may not increase and become more painful; in some cases, even bowel obstructions, house organ torsion and excruciating pain have resulted due to pelvic adhesions. If it's not bothering you at this however, there is probably no reason to rush into surgery, but it can be comforting and helpful at guiding your treatment if you can seize a non-invasive diagnosis and at least rule out other things that might be causing your symptoms. I've worked my target off literally to have a good set of abs and 3 wks ago went in for an abdominal hysterectomy. I'm back to wear i was pre-surgery aside from this 8'' laceration along the bikini line that is swelled out and looks like a pouch. I'm very self wilful of this in my clothes. Will it ever go down or away or am I stuck with it??
Answer: My partner's is not all that noticeable but then she does not shave.
You might try to cut Vitamin E capsules open and rub onto the scar area. it does forbear reduce discoloration and hard scarring.

I had a finished hysterectomy a year ago. As a result, I have a six-inch vertical scar on my lower abdomen. The last time my surgeon saw me, six weeks after the surgery, she said I was healing vey well and she idea the scar would eventually disappear. It is much lighter now than it was then, but still quite noticable. How long will it take for it to disappear?

Answer: it will never out. it will fade, lighten and be much less visible, but it will never disappear. i am surprised she told you it would. scars can be further managed if they are plain by various cosmetic procedures. you could try a product like mederma, but it is probably a but beyond where that product is most effective. try to learn to appreciate your scar as a part of you.
