Why Are Some C Section Scars Higher And Some Are Lower?
Question by Tina | Posted in Pregnancy
I'm talking about the plane scars, not the "classic" vertical ones. It seems as though some scars are higher and some are lower than others. Some seem to be goodness at the pubic hair line (some even a bit lower) and some seem to be much further above the pubic hair line. Why is that?
Answer: Doctors predisposition and position of the baby.

Do They Purposely Cover Up Celebrity C-section Scars For Photoshoots?
Question by Tina | Posted in Pregnancy
For exempli gratia, Gillian Anderson had an emergency c-section with her first pregnancy, and in this photoshoot a few years later, you can't see the wound. Did they cover it up with makeup, or is the scar most likely further down (I've seen some scars that are high and some that are low)?

Note: she's not bare but in her undies in the picture.
Answer: Her injury is probably bellow the line of her panties. If I were wearing those underwear, well, I definitely wouldn't look that probity, but my scar would not show. A c-section scar is as low as pubic hair.
However, I'm sure if a scar were visible, any mark, it would be airbrushed out, as all "imperfections" are in magazines.
I had a C-section 4 years ago & at most noticed there is a bit of a scab coming up at the end of the scar, There gas always been a rock hard bit there & its rweally doin my wholly in. Scar has healed beautifully apart from this 1 little bit. Any ideas?
Answer: There's a Brobdingnagian band of fibrous tissue and muscle right at the point where a c-section is given, so the healing prepare often leaves a few small lumpy bits (me too). You might have simply torn a elfin bit of the scar which just happens to be over one of those bits - perhaps that spot is a little vulnerable. But a scab is a take on board of healthy healing, so I wouldn't worry, but do take it easy on yourself. Your scar is still healing and settling, even after 4 years.
Do All C Section Scars Leave A Pooch When Your Belly Goes Flat Again?
Question by Marcella | Posted in Newborn & Baby
Im pensive about getting a c section cause my first pregnancy i tore really bad, but iam worried cause i dont scantiness a pooch.
i want one cause i tore really bad, had stiches up the ying yang, bled for 3 months, couldnt piss or poop for the longest occasion, it was horrible and now i occasionally leak piss, i dont want it to get any worse.
Answer: I had a c-section in November and I don't have a pooch at all. Like Piper's Mommy, my obstetrician made the slit reeeeeeally low. It's practically in my va-jay-jay it's so low!
I also agree that you shouldn't have a c-section unless medically necessary (mine was unplanned and an predicament c-section)...the healing is such a pain when you want to care for your baby that first month. Even months later, I still pet a twinge of pain here and there. It's normal for some women to feel the healing pains for up to a year or so.
