I have a scar that is about 9cm in eventually and 1cm wide on the right hand side of my abdomen from an operation to remover a burst appendix. I then got a supportive infection hence the larger than normal size of the scar.
I awlays wondered waht would befall to it if I was to get pregnant? Is there a possibility it could split?
Answer: No, your burn will likely just stretch. I have a scar right above my navel, that has now stretched from being about 4cm extended (horizontal), to now likely 7-8cm long (I'm 29 weeks). You might find that it would get itchy as it stretches, so honest keep things well moisturized.

Will Abdominal Scars Effect Pregnancy?
Question by *Babycakes* | Posted in Pregnancy
I'm 20, almost 21 and I was born 3 months undeveloped and had to have a few operations in order to live. I have a long vertical scar from right below my breasts all the way down to about 3 inches below my belly button (it also goes through my belly button). It is very resounding bc it was cut like 3 times in the same place. Its not just a flat line. I also have horizontal scars (4 of them) about where my ribs are, 2 on each side. So my craving has a lot of scars and tons of scar tissue. My question is, if i was to get pregnant would this effect it in any way? Will it hurt? and will the tot be able to grow? Like i said this isnt just a flat set up scar.. its a VERY DEEP scar down the middle
Answer: My niece has similarities to your status quo, here is what happened with her.
Nothing bad happened to her baby and he was able to grow just fine - your scars will not intention your bub.
As her baby grew it stretched her scars causing shooting pains, the pains were only every now and then. They only caused her to perturbation because she thought it may not be the scars and maybe it was something wrong with her baby.
Her scars are right through stretching right down the mesial of her stomach in a T like form and she had an operation when she was born and then again when she was 5 and her scars are attached to her muscles. Her corporation also didn't grow very big compared
I have had 4 abdominal surgeries (women line: 3endometriosis removals, an ectopic preg...). Since these surgeries, I've gained damage tisue and weight b/c exercising the abs hurt. Now, I'm finding it really hard to misplace weight in that area. Any info to share on this subject would be helpful. Thanks:)
Answer: i have adhesion's from my appendix busting fundamentally of me i recently had these removed but i found that exercise such as swimming helps to loose weight and doesn't bring on pain. Adhesion's can be painful but have you thought of natural therapies such as massage, acupuncture this can purloin to break down adhesion's
I at most had a surgery about six months ago and now have a large scar from the top of my pubic bone to my belly button. I'm very hard up of to show my stomach to my boyfriend and can no longer wear a lot of the clothes that I own because it will show this nasty scar. Is there a bandage or covering that I can that will screen my scar and not look I am wearing something to hide it?
Answer: Don't be embarrassed of the scars you have, because they aren't going anywhere.
There are certain lotions that, over time, can help reduce the suggestion of the scar such as:
Is There Any Treatment To Relieve The Physical Discomfort Caused By An Abdominal Scar?
Question by Anne R | Posted in Medicine
I had abdominal surgery several years ago. I no longer dynamic near the surgeon who performed the surgery. The surgery was to remove abnormal accumulation but the tissue was not cancerous.
The scar resulting from the procedure is an inch thick (rope-like) that stretches from one hip bone to the other. I'm not solicitous with the appearance of the scar but it causes me physical discomfort.
Since the surgery, I gained 20 pounds (I don't recall if that is relevant) to the discomfort caused by the scar. I'm not significantly overweight and I exercise three times per week.
The burn feels like a rope pulling tight from hip bone to hip bone. It isn't bothersome
Answer: I got such a bad disfigurement (called a keloid) after my first surgery (CS). Just like it was so uncomfortable especialy after I gained mass. There are so many creams and I tried quite few of them but due to a thick scar I had, it only offered very short and temporary mezzo-rilievo 'medium relief'. Nothing of those creams gave actual help. I had another operation with incision on the area with a blemish. My doctor had the keloid removed and stitched the wound not in a classical way. I got relieved from such damage and I am so thankful that it did not formed keloid again.
So with your scar that thick, you may want to give a try the use of creams which probably could give some functional
