Does Diet Have Any Effect On Acne In Your Experience?
Question by peeker | Posted in Skin Conditions
I have been breaking out definitely bad for the past 4 months or so. The dermatologist said that diet and acne have no connection and she keeps wanting me to go on accutane. I undeniably don't want to. Do you think that if I cut out sweets and chocolates (must have one of these daily in order to live, lol) that my acne will enhance significantly?
Answer: Frankly, I contrive your dermatologist is an idiot... and I think you are smart to not believe him/her.
I've posted this period and time again...but studies have shown that people from other cultures that eat a good diet almost never breakout with pimples...even when their hormones are theoretically fluctuating when going through puberty.
But as soon as they changed their diets, acne started to flare up like excited.
My dad has severe acne and I used to have severe acne too...BUT when I changed my diet (no milk, no refined carbs, more fruits and vegetables, more whole grains) and also take a vitamin end-piece.

Why Do Doctors Insist That Diet And Acne Aren't Related?
Question by heartitraces | Posted in Skin Conditions
I've tried tons of things to unclog up my skin, from topical stuff to medication, and none of it has worked consistently. Eating a well diet is the only thing that clears my skin. Every time i start to eat a lot of junk, my skin breaks out, and when i eat well it clears up in 1-2 weeks. I also have a friends who has had the same sustain. Why are doctors so insistent that diet and acne aren't related?
Answer: It's cognate only because healthy skin IN GENERAL is aided by a healthy diet. But acne--normal teenage acne that begins at nubility and clears up in adulthood--is not CAUSED by bad diet. It's caused by overactive hormones, which causes oil staging in the skin to increase. There are some conditions of the skin which diet does cause--and sometimes these can look like acne. Subsistence allergies, dermatitis, eczema--these conditions LOOK like acne, but aren't, and they can be the consequence of eating foods that trigger the condition.
The doctors are correct, but it may not seem so to you, because what you see is a normal fluctuation of bark issues, or some issue that is NOT acne
