Have You Tried Blue Light Therapy To Get Rid Of Acne?
Question by Jennifer Whitlam | Posted in Skin Conditions
I have heard that blue light cure is great for getting rid of or reducing acne but it is expensive and I was wondering if anyone has tried it? Do results depend on how bad the acne is or can pragmatical results be seen by anyone? Would love feedback before I try it.
Answer: I have tried blue light remedy and while it didn't totally get rid of my acne, it has definitely made a huge difference. There are less breakouts and redness. I found a fast site which gave me info and also a couple of options for home units. It is at http://www.acnebluelighttherapy.org
I researched a few bizarre units but ended up getting a middle of the range one - the BlueMD which is a dermatologist rung blue light therapy machine. It worked out cheaper than a going to a few sessions at a clinic and I can do as many as I requirement at home. Bulbs are not that expensive if it goes too which is great.
As I said, not totally gone, but I have only done 9 treatments

Blue Light Therapy For Acne?
Question by llamafarm2002 | Posted in Other - Skin & Body
I am in view of blue light therapy for acne, but I have a few questions about it. How often do you need the treatment to keep acne away? once a month? Once a week? Also, how useful is it? I've heard you can get the same results from a tanning bed, but that scares me because I don't want to damage my skin the same way a tanning bed would! Is it frankly that blue LED treatments are just the same as the UV rays in tanning salons?
NOTE: If you are going to proffer any over the counter or prescription acne medicine PLEASE DO NOT bother!!!! If I wanted to know about Proactive, I would ASK a query about it!!! Save your time and only answer if you know about what I'm asking about! I want
Answer: I'll try to take all of your questions :
How often : it depends of your acne stage, and what kind of light therapy session you want to get : from your accessible, using a light therapy device, or at a skin care clinic or dermatologist.
- From well-informed in, you can have from 4 treatments a week upto one treatment per day, these are short treatments, between 3 to 6 minutes per field.
- At a skin care professional's office, once a week or only once a month. This is because their equipment is more sturdy, however the cost of sessions could be very expensive.
How effective : You may see improvements from the first week of your home light psychoanalysis
So, I recently stumbled upon a blue light lamp from Amazon and it has 15 ratings, ALL 5 stars. I have researched some more and found blue light works by liquidation acne bacteria. If this is true, if I regularly use this lamp can I stop using benzoyl peroxide? Thanks!
Has Anyone Had Experience With Blue Light Therapy For Acne?
Question by phimu1223 | Posted in Skin Conditions
I've employed ProActive, Differin, and other cleansers and creams and nothing seems to work for a long period of constantly. I wash my face morning and night and have very combo skin. My question is, Has anyone ever tried the new Blue Light analysis that I've been hearing about? Did you work for you, and did you have any side effects? Was it expensive? Thanks!
I'm 22, so by now I've done plenty of inspect and know all about acne and the different solutions (I've tried nearly all of them!) but my question remains to be answered. I'm not looking for pills as a key or for information on acne as a whole, I am looking for answers from people who have DIRECT EXPERIENCE WITH BLUE LIGHT THERAPY.

Does Blue Light Therapy Work For Acne? Where Can I Purchase This Inexpensively?
Question by daracoconut | Posted in Skin Conditions
Thanks.
Answer: Certainly, the blue light psychotherapy that I offer in my office works, but this is using the blue light along with alpha levulinic acid. I'm not unshakeable about the potency of a blue light used at home. But, yes, the blue light here does work.
